Bollywood and your potential

Amitabh Bachchan is Indias biggest superstar, but did you know that he started his career as a voiceover?

Bollywood is already the biggest producer of films in the world, all of which need voiceovers for trailers, commercials and promotion.
India now has over 300 TV Channels and 80 commercial radio stations across the country that need voiceovers for continuity announcers, commercials and promotion. Assuming that each radio station needs 10 voiceovers per week, that means over 800 voiceovers are needed every week.

How much voiceover work is there in India?

India is now a world economic power with a growth rate of close to 10%.

The biggest potential for voiceovers is corporate narration. This includes videos for documentaries, sales training, safety training, promotions and inductions. Thousands of television and radio commercials are produced every year, not to forget video games, cartoons, websites and talking books. And, of course, there is the tourist sector and on-hold phone systems.

Manufacturing and service industries are growing at an alarming rate.
India now owns Jaguar and Land Rover, and many companies from the UK and Europe are rushing to invest in your country.

Apart from Hindi and English, there are 16 official languages in India and there are voiceovers needed in all of them.

What does all this mean to someone who wants to increase their income by recording voiceovers?

The point Im making is that there is plenty of voice work for ambitious people who want to become voiceover actors, as long as they are trained in the only voiceover technique in the world - the Hudson Voice Method.
