What is the Hudson Voice Technique?

You already own the instrument – your voice – all you need to do is learn how to play the right notes.

The Hudson Voice Technique™ gives you the rules for speaking more persuasively, which in turn gives you confidence and allows your natural personality to shine. The result? Your audience will have more confidence in you and what you say.

Our training will benefit almost anyone who wants and needs to communicate more powerfully.

The seven elements of the Hudson Voice Technique

1. Read and speak slowly

Most people talk too quickly. This makes it difficult for the listener to assimilate and analyse information. (And it is also irritating to listen to.)
This element will teach you the secret that Frank Sinatra used so well. We are going to slow you down.

2. Read and speak with energy and enthusiasm

One of our mottos at Voice Master is ‘No more talking heads!’ Energy equals enthusiasm and it’s contagious.
We’ll teach you how to use your body correctly and talk more positively.

3. Starting and ending sentences

Most people run one sentence into another, which confuses the listener. We’ll teach you the three vital things to do at the end of a sentence (and I don’t include stop and breathe) to make you sound more confident and authoritative. When you sound more confident, your audience will have more confidence in you.

4. Creating blocks of information

In addition to clearly separating sentence, you’ll also learn how to recognise and separate individual blocks of information within the sentence by using’mental commas’.

You will learn what a mental comma is and how to use it.

5. Read and speak softly

You are going to learn to control your voice like a musical instrument to increase your powers of persuasion.
You’ll learn how to sound sincere by using your no. 5 voice.

6. Recognise red flag words

We’ll teach you to identify the appropriate words to emphasise as well as how  to identify ‘Red Flag Words’ or words that signal you to use a different pace, volume, tone or pitch.

7. Putting it all together

We call this final step “The Vincent van Gogh Method of communication” because when you put everything together, your communication will be more vivid, lively and colourful.

Read Mike Clayton’s review of the course. He goes into some detail which I’m sure you’ll find interesting!
